The SPC – Dissolved Air Flotation unit (DAF)
The workhorse industry standard, the SPC offered by Aquatech-Global is an advanced system for the type of state-of-the-art water clarification that is used in thousands of applications worldwide.
Through extensive research and development, under ISO Certified conditions, we have worked with our manufacturing team to develop a highly compact design with optimum water clarification in the least amount of space. A mix of influent and aerated water flows into the clarifier through the inlet pipes located on the rotating carriage. Microscopic air bubbles in the aerated water attach to the suspended solids in order to float the solids to the surface. The carriage is based upon the concept of “zero velocity” - any velocity that the influent has upon entering the flotation zone is negated by rotation of the carriage in the opposite direction. This allows for more effective flotation in a shallower tank through the use of the rotating inlet.
The footprint of the Aquatech-Global SPC is smaller than other systems of similar capacity. This is due largely to the high rate of clarification and the very low retention time. Our SPC is recommended for cases in which the characteristics of the wastewater are variable. It has been applied to diverse segments including: municipal wastewater, algae removal, packing houses, food processing plants, bakeries, laundries, chemical processing plants, oil removal, pulp and paper process and effluent streams.
The A-G Spiral Scoop removes a high concentration of floated solids from the water surface, discharging them into the central sludge collector. Dissolved Air Flotation allows microscopic air bubbles to attach themselves to the flocked particles, causing them to float to the water surface. The process is accelerated by laminar plates on top. |

Our new design technology has enhanced our DAF units. These improvements provide special advantages over the older traditional circular DAF's on the market. These following attributes help achieve trouble-free operation.
New rotary slip:
(1) Made in new phosphrous-copper material covered by stainless steel box, reducing need for maintenance.
(2) All the internal wire connections incorporated and hidden into carriage.
New double rotary joint with all the globe seat valves instead of the conventional gate valves easily creating the best fine air bubble conditions.
New distribution rake design:
(1) Creating the best dispersion effect of water, air and chemicals.
(2) New device of reducer operational trouble-free.
New ADT assembly:
